Meet the extraordinary Canadian entrepreneur, Roberto Martella in person!
Roberto Martella, affectionately known as “Bobby Hammer,” is a fellow Torontonian renowned for his deep connection to Italian culture and his influential restaurant, Grano. His life took a dramatic turn nine years ago when he suffered a massive stroke in Venice, resulting in paralysis but surprisingly sparing his cognitive abilities. Despite significant physical challenges, Martella’s recovery has been remarkable, due in large part to his deep love of music, and classical music in particular. Although his restaurant, Grano, has closed due to his health needs, Martella remains optimistic about the future. His story highlights resilience, the importance of community, and the enduring influence of cultural traditions in overcoming adversity. We are honoured to welcome Mr. Martella as the keynote speaker for this event.
